As Interim Executive Director of the eTech Ohio Commission, an agency dedicated to enhancing learning through technology, I would like to welcome you eTech Ohio's new website. As you may be aware, eTech Ohio offers a variety of educational technology services to administrators, educators, technology support staff and public broadcasters. In addition to supporting your district with acquiring new technologies, eTech Ohio will also help you integrate them into your classrooms, and assist you with sustaining them for years to come.
It is our hope that you continue utilizing eTech Ohio for the following services in your organization:
- Technology planning;
- Professional development for administrators, teachers and technologists;
- Management services for the Ohio K-12 Network and videoconferencing;
- E-Rate consulting and training;
- Funding for state and federal education technology grants; and
- Resources to effectively work with the Ohio School Facilities Commission and local building projects.
In addition, eTech Ohio will support over 700 public school districts across the state as they revise their technology plans this school year. Up-to-date technology plans are required for federal E-Rate discounts and various opportunities such as professional development grants. Thank you in advance for supporting your technology team while revising and implementing your organization's plan. We're excited to serve your organization and look forward to working with you this coming year.
