SchoolNet Plus
Note: This is not an active program. The resources produced by the program are maintained to share with school districts in Ohio facing challenges in support and management of educational technology.
With the support of the Ohio General Assembly, eTech Ohio made SchoolNet Plus Grade 8 funding available to K-12 public school districts since 1995. The SchoolNet Plus program provided districts with funding to purchase multimedia computers and other related hardware and services for public classrooms. The SchoolNet Plus grant totaled approximately $4.35M in FY08 and was funded in whole from the Tobacco Settlement Education Technologies Trust Fund. SchoolNet Plus in FY08 targeted Grade 8 classrooms with a goal of one computer workstation per five students. Since the inception of the SchoolNet Plus grant, Ohio schools have received over $549 million.
The last year of available funding for the SchoolNet Plus Grant was FY08. Presently, there are no funds available for this program.
