2012 BETA Data Released

With input from buildings across the state, the 2012-13 BETA data has been compiled and released. BETA is a self-reported survey based on building IRNs as determined by the Department of Education. We are grateful to Ohio districts for their participation in this important survey, the data from which is used in technology and budget planning at the state, regional, and local levels.

Review of the data reveals that respondents are increasing access to computers and internet for students, and have plans to increase bandwidth. 34% of responding buildings with 1:1 initiatives allow students to take their devices home. 92% of responding buildings have greater than 10MB connection, and 60% of respondents have building-wide wireless access.
