Inclement Weather Policy

eTech Ohio has established the following weather emergency policy and notification process. All questions regarding this policy shall be directed to the Educational Technology Conference Team at 614.485.6000 or 877.383.2406 or conference@etech.ohio.gov.

Educational Technology Conference Policy Statement, Inclement Weather:

In the event that severe weather conditions or travel advisories are issued within the State of Ohio during the Educational Technology Conference that may prevent conference registrants from participating in the Educational Technology Conference, no pre-paid registration reimbursements shall be made to registrants, and registrations confirmed through purchase order shall be invoiced without exception.

The registrant may transfer the registration to another individual. The individual receiving the transferred registration shall go to Main Registration onsite at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) to complete the registration transfer process. The Conference registrant is solely responsible for handling any transfer of hotel reservations, etc., to another individual. eTech Ohio is not responsible for any loss to the Conference registrant due to inclement weather that may prevent the Conference registrant from attending the Educational Technology Conference.

In the event that severe weather conditions or travel advisories prevent a presenter from his or her participation in the Educational Technology Conference, the presenter should contact the eTech Ohio receptionist at 614.485.6000 or 877.383.2406. If a substitute presenter is available to conduct the session, the presenter registration will be transferred to the substitute presenter through Main Registration onsite at the GCCC. The presenter is solely responsible for handling any hotel reservation cancellations, etc., eTech Ohio is not responsible for any loss to the presenter due to inclement weather that may prevent the presenter from participating in the Educational Technology Conference.

In the event that severe weather conditions or travel advisories prevent an exhibitor or sponsor from its participation in the Educational Technology Conference, no reimbursements shall be paid and any outstanding payments owed to eTech Ohio shall be paid in full. eTech Ohio shall be responsible for ensuring that the exhibitor's assets delivered in advance to the GCCC be returned to the exhibitor. Expenses for return shipment shall be paid for by the exhibitor. The exhibitor or sponsor is solely responsible for handling any hotel reservations cancellations, etc. eTech Ohio is not responsible for any loss to the exhibitor or sponsor due to inclement weather that may prevent the exhibitor or sponsor from attending the Educational Technology Conference.
