eTech Ohio's 2007 Educational Technology Conference Was a Huge Success!

The eTech Ohio Educational Technology Conference is Ohio's premiere educational technology professional development event. Attended by more than 6,500 participants, the 2007 Conference displayed many new technologies and tools. The 2007 Conference has something for everyone, attendees were able to:

eTech Ohio Network and Videoconferencing Enhancements

eTech Ohio manages the Network Operations Center (NOC) for the Ohio's educational network. The network provides customers access to voice, data and video services supported by eTech Ohio.

Currently, the Network backbone is migrating from an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) to a backbone primarily based on an Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). This migration will allow the implementation of new delivery methods to support core network services that will increase network efficiency and the capacity of the network; enabling increased collaboration and distribution of educational technology resources to customers on the network.
