eTech Ohio and the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) are combining efforts to assist districts endeavoring to build new school buildings and facilities. The primary purpose of the collaboration is to help address the technology planning and professional development needs of districts throughout all phases of a school construction project.

eTech Ohio to Launch a Distance Learning Clearinghouse for Ohio Schools

Online Catalog: Interactive and Computer-Based Courses, Available for the 2009-10 School Year

The eTech Ohio Commission is excited to announce the development of a new initiative for the 2009-10 school year a Distance Learning Clearinghouse. The Ohio General Assembly recently charged eTech Ohio with creating an electronic catalog of distance learning courses offered via a computer-based method for Ohio schools. The objective of this initiative is to provide an informative, online catalog with available distance learning courses. Through this linking avenue, Ohio school districts will be able to share distance learning opportunities offered across the state to meet student needs.

The Data Driven Decisions for Academic Achievement (D3A2) project is a long- term initiative to improve instruction and student achievement. The Resource Exchange, a content indexing tool for Ohio's K-12 community, is designed to create a single, searchable collection for Ohio educators to use to locate high- quality, publicly available educational content.
