Multimedia Production Grant
The Public Television (PTV) Multimedia Production Grant provides funding for Ohio’s Public Television Stations to produce interactive instructional programming. Programs must support Ohio Department of Education’s academic content standards; focusing on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects of third through eighth grade math and science. The STEM initiative promotes and supports the creation and nurturing of creative students who are problem solvers, innovators, inventors, logical thinkers and strong communicators.
eTech Ohio is broadening its focus on STEM with STEM careers, engineering and technology, as well as science and mathematics topics. With the Ohio Department of Education, eTech Ohio provides advice and approval of PTV Multimedia funds used for the production of interactive instructional programming in support of the STEM initiative.
Additionally, funded programming will be targeted to the needs of the poorest 200 school districts, as determined by the district’s average per pupil valuation as defined in section 3317.0213 of the Ohio Revised Code (as that section existed prior to June 30, 2005).
