eTech Ohio Educational and Assistive Technology Grants

Program Overview

eTech Ohio awards nearly $186,000 per year in Educational and Assistive Technology Grants to Educational Technology entities for hardware, software and staff development in support of educational uses of technology in the classroom. The Educational and Assistive Technology Grants funds are uniquely used to support assistive technology for children and youth with disabilities. This funding is to be allocated using a formula developed by Ohio Educational Television Stations (OETS).

Recent Educational and Assistive Technology grant recipients successfully completed a multitude of projects including:

  • The use of audio aids to help students learn concepts faster and retain more;
  • Professional development activities;
  • A digital storytelling project; and
  • Expansion of closed captioning for programming services.
