Becoming an educator does not stop with an education degree and teaching license; rather, it is a life-long commitment to continue learning and utilizing the most effective strategies, theories and tools to enhance student learning. Technology offers new ways to engage, motivate and connect our students in meaningful ways to real-world applications. In this site, educators can locate information about grants, subsidies and professional development, as well as teaching, learning and technology integration to address their commitment to continually strive to improve student learning.
Ohio has developed academic content standards so that educators, students and parents have a clearer understanding of what students should know and be able to do. Many of our students are considered digital natives as they already use technology on a daily basis to communicate with friends and conduct business outside-of-school. While many students on the other hand, have limited access to technology.
eTech Ohio recognizes that educators are vital to Ohio's future and economy; therefore, it is our mission to provide educators with professional development and resources to enhance learning for all Ohioans. This site provides information and resources to assist educators in effectively utilizing technology to enhance student achievement and the development of 21st century skills.
