eTech Ohio eLearning - Online Professional Development

eTech Ohio views eLearning courses as ‘critical' due to the impact on educators needing courses for licensure renewal, educators' Highly Qualified Teacher certification, the impact on graduation credit and the short length of time remaining for the courses to be completed. eTech Ohio will continue with the current spring unique opportunities and eLearning courses. We appreciate your patience in dealing with this matter and apologize for any inconvenience.

Program Overview

Tech Ohio's online eLearning program delivers professional development in a cost-effective, flexibility and convenient way to all Ohio PK-20 educators and professionals.  eLearning fosters a 24x7 online learning environment which offers highly qualified teacher status in math, science and social studies; graduate credit and Unique Opportunities.

Course participants can earn graduate credit upon completion of an eTech Ohio online course by contacting one of six institutions of higher learning. Our Unique Opportunities encompass  any online course whose timeframe has been modified to better serve the needs of individuals within a group or entire school district.

In FY08, over 60 eLearning courses were offered in 212 sections, servicing more than 1,600 educators. Fostering the expansion of online learning for all Ohioans aligns with eTech Ohio's mission. This expansion cannot occur without using the valuable resources of educators and content specialist found across the state.  eTech Ohio is proud to work with various agencies and entities across the State of Ohio and is always open to new collaborative ideas.  Past collaborations included the Ohio Department of Education, various Educational Service Centers and institutions of higher education. If you are interested in working with eTech Ohio on the development of a course idea, email elearning@etech.ohio.gov.
