Program Overview
Ohio Government Telecommunications Service (OGT), located in the Statehouse, is primarily responsible for the telecommunications needs of the three branches of state government. OGT is also charged with:
- Managing the Ohio Channel, a service of Ohio's public broadcasting stations,
- Handling teleconferences,
- Creating educational programming,
- Facilitating media connections within Capitol Square,
- Coordinating audio and video needs; and
- Operating a streaming media.
While providing telecommunications services for state government, OGT records and broadcasts sessions of the General Assembly, as well as Supreme Court sessions and press events. eTech Ohio provides a means for distributing this content through the Internet.
