Developing a System to Organize the Computer Lab Curriculum and Address the Differences in Individual Student's Learning

Abstract
Teachers are the most chaotic element in the classroom. I think there's better ways to do things. My questions: What could be done to help students know what to work on as soon as they entered the lab? Work at their own pace? Meet more academic content standards? The chaos I created was to use two web based programs to answer my questions. Regarding data, I used triangulation with different methods and different groups of people to verify my findings as trust-worthy and credible. I found the web based programs were helpful answering my questions. One of the programs helped in meeting more academic content standards and has potential. I learned the posting messages feature in the other web based program was an excellent way to communicate with students. They were busy working as soon as they logged in. And, since they could see assignments and grades via the same program, they were able to work at their own pace. I plan to continue working with the programs and will share the information with other teachers, administrators, and interested parties.
