Will The CCC Lab Software Program Be a Useful Tool to differentiate Instruction and Raise Student Achievement in Reading and Math?
Abstract
Question: Will using the CCC Lab program in my classroom to differentiate instruction raise student test scores in the areas of reading and math? Twenty-two first grade students used the CCC Lab software for reading and math in the classroom thirty minutes per week for reading and math. They were given pre and post-tests to and data was collected. The data was analyzed to see if there was growth. The students were observed, surveyed and interviewed about their experiences using the program. The data showed that all of the students made gains during the project. The surveys and interviews showed that the students enjoyed using the program as well. The researcher will continue to use the CCC Lab program in the coming school years to differentiate reading and math instruction and continue to raise student achievement in these areas.
