2008-2009 EETT New Eligible Grant Training and Reading Session
eTech Ohio and the Ohio Department of Education will conduct grant readings for 2008-2009 New Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) eligible buildings that submitted an application via the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) Tool and required forms to the eTech Ohio office by April 25, 2008. These grant readings will consist of a one-day training session to be followed by a day of grant readings and scoring.

Please note all grant applicants are required to send a grant reader and all grant readers must attend the both the one-day training session on Monday, May 19, 2008 and the grant reading and scoring session on Tuesday, May 20.

Grant Opportunity - Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT)/Title II-D

The eTech Ohio Commission and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) are pleased to announce that new grant funds are currently available to 135 of Ohio's public school buildings for school year 2008-2009 through the federal Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) initiative. Additional funding is also available through Continuation grants for the current (2007-2008) grant recipients.
The EETT grant program is a two-year, federal initiative to ensure that funded projects are of sufficient scope and quality to efficiently meet the purposes of the federal No Child Left Behind legislation.
New Grants: Only those buildings listed will be eligible to apply for the 2008-2009 EETT competitive grants. Eligible buildings serve K-8 students and are determined by Title I status, ODE report card status (Academic Emergency/Academic Watch in grades 4 and 6 for mathematics and English/language arts) and technology capacity.

2008-2009 EETT Continuation Grant Guidance Document
Eligible buildings will apply through the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) competitive funding application. The RFP for New and Continuation EETT grants will be released on February 4, 2008. The RFP contains specific guidance in applying for the grant and the evaluation of those grants. The deadline for the letter of intent for New and Continuation applicants was March 28 at 11:30 A.M. EST. Applications without letters of intent will not be accepted or read. The deadline for application of EETT new and continuation grants and all additional documents is April 25, 2008.
