Ohio K-12 Districts/ Educational Service Providers

New members must:

Step One: Register each new Videoconference Room and Room Contact with eTech Ohio. Information required for registration includes:

  • Video Room Information (name, address, telephone number, etc.);
  • Administrative Information (organization, facility type, room features, fees, etc.);
  • Network Information (video system type, static ip address, host service provider);
  • Room Contact Information (Video room contact is the person that serves as the primary site contact who approves use of the room, schedules conferences and coordinates arrangements for conferences held at their site); and
  • Technical Contact Information (The technical contact is the person that provides technical support at the site videoconference system operation and connection to the network. Their primary function would be to provide onsite support in case of technical difficulties connecting to a conference.

Step Two:  Perform Video Endpoint Certification Testing. Test calls consist of a series of Dial-In and Dial-Out calls and will include any speeds that are planned for use in future videoconference calls (i.e., 128K, 384K). These tests are done to ensure compatibility between the video room equipment and eTech Ohio video bridges.

Ohio Institutions of Higher Education/State of Ohio Government

New members must:

Step One: Submit a request for Videoconference Services with eTech Ohio using the State of Ohio's Telecommunications Service Request (TSR).

  • This service establishes authorization and billing account information. The TSR system is a menu driven, web-based application that allows agencies to request telecommunications services. The system initiates email notification of pending orders to on-line service providers. The service providers supply feedback on-line that facilities collaboration among vendors.

NOTE:  Upon review and approval of the TSR request, a confirmation email will be sent to the requester and billing contact that includes account information, terms and conditions of service and instructions for registering each new Videoconference Endpoint Room.

Step Two: Register each new Videoconference Endpoint Room and Room Contact with the eTech Ohio. Information required for registration includes:

  • Video Room Information (name, address, telephone number, etc.);
  • Administrative Information (organization, facility type, room features, fees, etc.);
  • Network Information (video system type, static ip address, host service provider);
  • Room Contact Information (Video room contact is the person that serves as the primary site contact who approves use of the room, schedules conferences and coordinates arrangements for conferences held at their site); and

NOTE: Upon approval of room registration information, the Room Contact and Technical Room Contact automatically receive a TC Reliance scheduling account and a confirmation email will be sent to the Room Contact and Technical Contact that includes Video Room Profile information and User Name and Password to access the TC Reliance scheduling system.

Content Providers

  • Applicants must be sponsored by an existing video network member and submit an application including specified contact information and method for connecting to the network.
  • Once the application is approved, content providers will follow the procedure listed above for:
    • Ohio K-12 Districts
    • Educational Service Providers
