2. What is the difference between the BETA Reporting Comparison Tool and the BETA Reporting Data Export Tool?
Top
-
The BETA Reporting Comparison Tool provides the ability for individual organizations to compare their response with up to four other organizations statewide. The BETA Reporting Data Export Tool allows districts to download data packages for use in applications of districts' choosing (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SPSS, etc.) to produce customized reports with District specific data. Since this data is customized by district, Hall Pass Login is required.

3. What data does my BETA survey contain?
Top
-
The BETA survey contains data from both a building survey and a teacher survey. The building survey is predominately data about each building's technology, equipment, connectivity and inventory. The teacher survey collects data around student and teacher computer use, teacher comfort with technology, technology leadership, technology beliefs, technology support and background information.

4. How can my district use this data?
Top
-
The data from BETA can be used in a variety of ways from planning in TPT v3.0 to using the data for benchmarking and measures. Begin conversations with others in your districts asking systemic questions to delve deeper into potential gaps in professional development, technology use and teacher beliefs. For example, do you notice any patterns between technology use and teacher beliefs? How does this impact the professional development that I plan to offer? Are there processes in place for technology support in my district and building? If so, does the data reflect those processes and are we on target?
